From Can I Pair My Garmin Sensor With the Garmin Connect App? | Garmin Customer Support. Only the HRM-Pro, HRM-Pro Plus and Speed Sensor 2 can be paired directly with the Garmin Connect app. Other sensors, including the HRM-Dual will require you to pair them with a Garmin watch, Edge computer, or a compatible third-party app.
The HRM-Pro has both ANT+ and Bluetooth. The Bluetooth connectivity allows it to connect directly to Android or iOS/iPadOS devices and by extension to Garmin Connect Mobile. The HRM-Tri is ANT+ only so cannot connect directly to Android or iOS/iPadOS devices and is therefore not visible to Garmin Connect Mobile.
If I buy Garmin HRM dual chest strap, will that pair directly with Garmin Connect? I don't see HRM dual listed in the app as a supported device. Does it always have to come through one of their GPS watches? And then configure Garmin Connect to sync with Strava? My budget is about $100-$150.
Coros won't know what to do with all the other stuff. If you have the strap already, you can use it, but if you're buying the strap specifically to use with a Coros, you can save a lot of money and get something without all the bells and whistles that won't do anything. I have a hard time recommending the Garmin HRM Pro or Pro Plus to those
HRM-PRO Plus and Running Power Setup. pondussen over 1 year ago. My newly ordered HRM-Pro Plus will soon be arriving by mail. I plan to connect it to my Epix 2 and get started with Garmin running power. Does anybody have experience on how to set it up. I mean.should I use GPS for pace og the HMR-Pro plus pace (after auto-calibration is done)?
The trouble with HRM Pro Plus is that it not sending RR Intervals to apps by bluetooth to the apps (Like HRV4Training, HRV4Biofeedback, EliteHRV, alphaHRV). I tested it on iOS and Android. I don't know if it is because of the low reading accuracy of Garmin HRM Pro Plus or due to some software limitations in HRV Pro Plus.

For me it seems the "battery gauge" of the HRM Pro is bull shit. Mine never showed any pre-warning of an empty battery. The strap just stopped connecting. When I switch the battery, I regulary meassure the tension left in the battery and it is allways way below the nominal 3V.
HRM-Tri differs significantly from HRM-Swin through the fact that HRM-Tri DOES NOT tolerate pool chemicals. So, its a heart rate belt only suited for open water swimming. Buy HRM-TRI here HRM-PRO. The HRM-Pro is Garmins topmodel for heart rate belts. It unites all functions from HRM-Run, HRM-Swin and HRM-Tri.
